Mascara Swatching Series: Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes

Next up in my mascara swatching series, Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes.  Previous post was CoverGirl LashBlast Volume. This is a plastic bristle brush that tapers down to a small point with tiny short bristles. Basically, I almost always make a mess on my lids.  Especially on lower lashes, it's a guarantee. Then I try to clean it up after dried with a dry q-tip and end up with a fiber tangled in my lashes and stuck to my eyeball.  Not good for me I tell you!

It can definitely give some length but also has that spiky effect of the same width from the base to tips.

Here's one eye done for reference of my bare lashes hiding out! :)

Smudged up lid, what a mess Nicole!
I think the effect I got is similar to what I do with most mascaras, this requires less work to get my usual look  compared to (for example) LashBlast Volume. Below you'll see on the right I have smudges all over top and bottom lid. Terrible.

I do like that this mascara doesn't dry out quickly or get clumpy. It's a fairly wet formula but not super-thin-wet that takes a while to dry, and it does build up fairly easily. My lashes don't bump my lid (or only rarely) so I don't mind the wet formula, I know that's more of a problem for others. Overall, I might buy it again but there's always something new to try so it might not be for a while. :) Another nice thing is that the price is pretty low, at Target not on sale it's under $5 here.
