MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in NC5 Comparison Swatches

 

I struggled to get a very visible swatch of the two MAC powders because they are a little darker and not super pigmented. Everything except the Studio Fix Fluid for comparison is a pressed powder foundation. 

Swatches left to right:

  1. MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation (new) in NC5
  2. MAC Studio Fix Powder (old) in NC10 (what I'm pointing to)
  3. MAC Studio Fix Fluid (new) in NC5 (good shade match for me)
  4. Laura Geller Balance 'N Brighten in Porcelain
  5. JCat Aquasurance in Porcelain (being phased out I think)
  6. Pony Effect Cover Fit in Fair (discontinued)
  7. Revolution Conceal & Define in P0.2 (discontinued) 

I did a demo applying the new powder with the included sponge and a dense foundation brush, and also applied the old and new MAC powders side by side with brushes. For once, I prefer the new formula! I wish it was lighter though. For my full thoughts, and demos of both, see my video below.
